Update stamps
Every country hub, ranking and tool output shows the reference period of the data and the date the series last changed. Stamps are derived from the stored observations, not from page build time.
Data trust and transparency
This page is maintained by Global Property Search (part of Liplyn Group) to explain how our published figures are dated, attributed and cited. It describes our own editorial and data practices — it is not an independent audit or certification.
Four things we commit to on every data page
Citation per data point
Observations are stored with a source, an indicator definition, a period and a unit. Whatever renders the number — table, chart, capsule or CSV export — carries that source with it.
Named authorship
Written market commentary is bylined and reviewed. Computed tables are labelled as generated from source data so the two are never confused.
Stated limitations
Where a provider revises history, changes a basket or has a coverage gap, we say so on the page rather than smoothing it away.
How update stamps work
Each stored observation carries the period it describes (for example 2025-Q4) and the moment it entered our database. A page's update stamp is the most recent of those values across the series shown on it, so a stamp only moves when the data behind it actually moves.
- Reference period — what the number measures, shown next to the figure.
- Last updated — when the series or the written section last changed.
- Cadence — the provider's own release schedule; quarterly indices recompute after each quarterly release.
How a single data point is cited
Anatomy of one figure
Value + unit → the number as published.
Indicator → the exact definition used (index level, % change, level in local currency).
Period → the quarter or year it refers to.
Source → the statistical provider, with a link on the sources page.
CSV exports include the same source, indicator and period columns, so a figure stays traceable after it leaves the site.
Authorship and review
Written analysis is attributed to a named author listed on our authors page and reviewed at least twice a year. Computed tables, maps and rankings are generated directly from stored observations and labelled as such. Where a section mixes both, the commentary is bylined and the numbers keep their own source line.
Corrections policy
Send the page URL and the figure to sales@liplyn.com. We verify against the original series, correct the stored observation, and the page's update stamp changes with it. Material corrections to written analysis are noted in the section itself.

These are our own published practices, not a third-party certification or guarantee of accuracy. Statistical providers revise their own series, and market data should not be treated as investment, tax or legal advice.
Frequently asked questions
- What does the “Last updated” date on a page mean?
- It is the date the underlying observation set for that page last changed — either because a statistical provider released a new period, or because an editor revised the written section. It is never a build timestamp or an automatic today's-date stamp.
- How often is country market data refreshed?
- Each series follows its provider's own release calendar. Quarterly house-price indices are recomputed after every quarterly release; annual indicators once the provider publishes the new year. Rankings and comparison tools read the same stored observations, so they move at the same time.
- How is every data point cited?
- Each observation is stored with its source, indicator definition, reference period and unit. Country hubs, ranking tables and tool outputs render that source next to the figure, and the full provider list with links lives on the data sources page.
- Who is responsible for the written analysis?
- Editorial sections carry a named author from our authors page. Data tables are machine-generated from stored observations and are labelled as such, so you always know which part is computed and which part is written.
- How do I report an error?
- Email sales@liplyn.com with the page URL and the figure in question. Corrections to published figures are applied to the stored series and the affected page's update stamp changes accordingly.
