Buying, renovating and selling real estate has been a life long avocation for Drum & Drum Realtor Jack Kennedy .
Over the years Jack & his wife Kathy have restored four antique properties together and built two others. The old church on Route One in Edgecomb , 25 Middle St in Wiscasset, and their 1793 cape style home in Nobleboro are 3 of their projects. In addition, Jack has developed several holiday homes on the island of Bali under his Honey Tree brand.
Jack grew up in the South Pacific and South East Asia, and was educated in Massachusetts at Berkshire School & Boston College. Before settling in Maine in 1998, he pursued a career in international business, first as an executive, then as consultant and entrepreneur.
Jack was involved in home heating issues professionally during the first big energy crisis. As Senior Vice President for Marketing at Kero-Sun Inc., he helped bring the energy efficient Monitor heating system to the American market.
Farmland preservation is another of Jack's interests. Jack co-wrote a piece of farm legislation, The Connecticut Farm Winery Bill ,& served on the Board of Directors of the Housatonic Valley Association, a land trust.
In his free time, Jack mountain bikes stay in shape, kayaks, and serves as finance Chair or President of several mid-coast Maine organizations.
He is Founder of health Access Sumbawa Inc, a 501 ( c ) (3) charity which funds and manages malaria elimination projects, clean water, sanitation and environmental programs in disadvantaged communities in Indonesia.
Member of Lincoln County Board of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
